David Platts

David Platts is an Information Security and Risk Professional with over 18 years of experience. Currently, they serve as the Director of Information Security & Risk Governance at Ally, a position held since 2022, after previously working as an IT Risk Manager there from 2018 to 2022. Prior to Ally, David was the Senior Manager and Business Information Risk Officer at HSBC, where they managed the Business Information Risk program and ensured compliance with regulatory obligations. They hold a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from East Carolina University and an Associate of Science in Information Systems from Central Piedmont Community College, among other educational qualifications.
