James Aretakis

James Aretakis is the General Tax Counsel at Ally Financial Inc., where they provide expertise in tax matters. They previously served as Senior Tax Counsel at General Motors from 1985 to 2006, and held the position of General Tax Counsel at GMAC Financial Services from 2006 to 2010. James began their career as a Tax Senior at Coopers & Lybrand between 1982 and 1984. They earned a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Michigan State University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School.
