Matthew Garfinkle

Matthew Garfinkle is currently the Associate General Counsel and Senior Director at Ally, where they support the largest retail digital bank in the United States. In this role, they advise senior leadership on various business aspects, navigate legal and regulatory risks, and oversee litigation. Previously, Matthew served as Assistant General Counsel at Bank of America and was a partner at Severson & Werson, where they managed a team handling diverse financial and employment litigation. They earned their Juris Doctor degree cum laude from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law and are pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at the University of California, Irvine.
