Trevor U. has a diverse background in computer science and cybersecurity, beginning as an undergraduate research assistant and lab instructor at Texas State University from August 2015 to August 2016. Trevor contributed to research alongside Professor Qijun Gu to enhance students' practical skills. Prior experience includes working as a SOC Analyst at General Dynamics Information Technology during a significant network breach at Global Payments in 2012, providing 24/7 network monitoring and incident response. After that, a role as a Cyber Security Engineer at Netspend was held from September 2016 to July 2019, followed by a position as a Lead Systems Platform Engineer at Mastercard from July 2019 to April 2021. Currently, Trevor serves as a Principal System Engineer at Ally, following the acquisition of Vyze, and also holds the title of Staff Cryptography Engineer at Synchrony, focusing on the automation and management of PKI workloads in various environments.
