Thomas Scheffey

Thomas Scheffey is an accomplished legal professional and writer with extensive experience in the fields of law and journalism. As Counsel at CCS Realty Trust since January 2016, Thomas oversees legal, fiscal, and compliance matters for historically-certified residential real estate. Concurrently, Thomas serves on the editorial board of The Connecticut Law Tribune, collaborating with a diverse group of legal experts to analyze pertinent issues facing law and society. Thomas previously worked as a senior writer for the same publication for over two decades, earning recognition as a prize-winning reporter and editor. Earlier experience includes serving as trustee for Ravine Falls Trust and as Capitol Bureau Chief for The Kentucky Post, where investigative reporting encompassed significant state events and government activities. Thomas holds a JD from Northern Kentucky University's Salmon P. Chase College of Law and a BA in English from Reed College.
