Jay Gupta

Jay Gupta has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Jay co-founded AlmaConnect in 2012 and currently holds the title of Co-Founder and President. Jay also served as a Seed Investor and Board Member for the company until December 2020. In 2010, Gupta became a Partner at Plus Group, where they worked until their departure date is unknown. In 2020, they joined COGx as an Advisory Board Member.

From 2016 to 2020, Gupta was the Founder and CEO of Urbo, a company specializing in the design, manufacturing, and distribution of ergonomic workstation accessories. Jay successfully grew the private label DTC venture to $1M in annual sales before it was acquired by Mirnar International. Gupta also co-founded and served as CEO of DiscountShop, a wholesale and retail distribution enterprise, from 2010 to 2020. Under their leadership, the multi-channel ecommerce business achieved $12M in annual sales before it was acquired by Mirnar International.

Prior to their entrepreneurial roles, Gupta worked as a Consultant at BTS from 2003 to 2010. Jay also gained valuable experience as a Strategy Planning Intern at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. in 2002 and as a Product Manager at Reuters from 1998 to 2001.

Jay Gupta has a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from Bryant University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Yale University.
