Andrew Herman has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Andrew is the Co-Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Alma (education) since 2012, where they play a key leadership role. Prior to this, they co-founded Imtakt USA in 2005 and served as the Chairman, contributing to the development of innovative HPLC column technologies. Andrew has also worked as a Financial Consultant and/or early stage investor for various start-ups and early stage companies since 1999, advising and investing in 12 fully funded companies with successful outcomes. In their professional journey, Andrew has also held the position of Manager of Corporate Development at Danaher from 2003 to 2005. Additionally, they have teaching experience as a Middle School Teacher at Link Community School in 2000. Their earlier career includes the role of Director of Corporate Development at Advertising.com in 1999 and an Investment Banking Analyst at JPMorgan Chase & Co. from 1997 to 1999.

Andrew Herman has a diverse education history. Andrew pursued their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Economics and Philosophy from Wesleyan University, graduating in 1997. During their undergraduate years, they also participated in a Study Abroad program focused on Chinese Culture at The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1995. Prior to their undergraduate studies, Andrew attended St. Albans from 1989 to 1993. After completing their undergraduate degree, they furthered their education by attending Columbia Business School from 2002 to 2003, where they obtained an MBA in Business.
