Jillian Sciacca, M. Ed

Jillian Sciacca, M. Ed has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in education. From 2006 to 2012, they worked as an Elementary School Teacher in the Garfield RE-2 School District, where they taught Kindergarten, First Grade, and Fourth Grade. During this time, they were nominated as a candidate for teacher of the year and received commendations for their knowledge of the field, assessment practices, and integration of technology in the classroom.

In 2014, they were promoted to a Full-Time Faculty position, where they supported at-risk, first-year college students and also served as a mentor to associate faculty, providing virtual training sessions to improve instructional techniques.

In 2016, Sciacca took on the role of Freelance Writer at The Children's Book Review, where they wrote literacy-based articles and book reviews to promote the website.

Most recently, in 2019, they became the Director of PK-12 Solutions at Alma.

Jillian Sciacca, M. Ed obtained their Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Colorado Boulder from 2002 to 2006. After completing their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Reading and Literacy from Walden University from 2007 to 2009.
