Jonathan Young

Jonathan Young is a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at Almac Group, where they lead the development and maintenance of data analysis pipelines for clinical trial assays and companion diagnostics. They specialize in RNA-seq and RNA-exome pipeline development, with extensive experience in NGS data across major sequencing platforms. Previously, Jonathan held various roles in bioinformatics and laboratory settings, including a postdoctoral research fellowship at Queen's University Belfast and positions at Belfast Health and Social Care Trust and Queens University Belfast. Jonathan earned a Bachelor's degree in Genetics, and both a Master's degree in Biotechnology and Molecular Biology and a PhD focused on microbial diversity at Queen's University Belfast.
