Simon Grattan is the Chairman and Managing Director at Sengenia Ltd and serves as the Director of Research Services and Government Affairs at Almac Group. With over 25 years of experience in industrial R&D, they have worked extensively in physics and civil engineering. Simon has held various leadership roles, including EU Policy Manager at InterTradeIreland and NI Horizon 2020 Manager, before transitioning to their current positions. They are also a Visiting Scholar at Queen's University Belfast, contributing to the Patrick G Johnston Centre for Cancer Research. Simon earned a Ph.D. in Optical Fibre Sensors and a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Queen's University Belfast.
