Vikas Bhat, PhD has a diverse range of work experience in the pharmaceutical and research fields. Vikas most recently worked at Almac Group, starting in 2021, where they served as a Project Manager Clinical Services and is currently a Global Project Lead. Prior to this, they worked at Norbrook Laboratories ltd from 2016 to 2021, taking on roles as a Chemical Synthesis Analyst and later as a Clinical Study Director, responsible for planning and overseeing regulatory studies. Before that, they worked as an Analytical Scientist at Hartmans Analytical Laboratory from 2015 to 2016, analyzing food and water samples and following Good Laboratory Practices. Additionally, Vikas held positions at the University of Ulster as a Research Associate and Step-Up Mentor, and at Jubilant Biosys as a Junior Research Associate. Vikas also obtained their PhD from the University of Ulster in 2014, focusing on proglucagon derived peptide therapies for Type 2 diabetes and obesity.
Vikas Bhat, PhD, obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomedical Sciences from Ulster University, which they pursued from 2010 to 2014. Prior to that, they completed a PgDip in Biotechnology at Ulster University from 2009 to 2010. Vikas also holds a Master's Degree in Biochemistry from Bangalore University, which they completed from 2006 to 2008. Their undergraduate education includes a Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, and Botany from Bangalore University, completed from 2003 to 2006. Additionally, they have completed two Associate's Degrees, specifically in Molecular Biology & Genetic Engineering and Entomology, from St. Joseph's College of Arts & Science, which they pursued from 2004 to 2005 and 2003 to 2004, respectively.
