Derek Freeburn started their career in 2006 as a Bartender for Wunderbar Bartending and Catering. Derek worked part-time in this role until June 2010, serving at various events such as weddings, concerts, and non-profit fundraisers.
In July 2006, Derek joined Burton Snowboards as the National Coordinator for The Chill Foundation. Derek held this position until October 2012. In May 2011, they were promoted to Development Manager for The Chill Foundation.
From November 2012 to January 2014, Derek worked as a Sales Specialist, Order Management, and Customer Relations at MusicStoreLive.com, an online music equipment dealer. Derek was responsible for sales of high-end and vintage products, as well as overseeing order management and maintaining customer relations.
Derek joined Almo Corporation in January 2014 as a Key Account Manager for LG. Derek held this position until April 2015. In May 2015, they took on the role of Business Development Manager, which lasted until December 2015. From January 2016 to April 2022, Derek worked as the National Sales Manager at Almo Corporation. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Business Development, starting in April 2022.
Derek Freeburn completed their high school education at Council Rock High School from 1998 to 2001. Afterward, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications at Boston University from 2001 to 2005. During their time at Boston University, Derek focused their studies on Advertising, Marketing, and Psychology.
