Deirdre O'Connor

Deirdre O'Connor has a diverse background in community support and management, currently serving as a Support Coordinator at ALONE since May 2022. Prior experience includes serving as Residence Manager at Rockwell College from September 2019 to May 2022 and working as a Family Support Worker at Spafield Family Resource Centre from October 2008 to September 2019, where community development principles were emphasized. Additional roles include Instructor for Roots of Empathy from March 2016 to June 2019 and a decade-long career as a Garda with An Garda Síochána from April 1996 to May 2005. Deirdre holds a Bachelor of Arts in Languages and Marketing from Waterford Institute of Technology and a BA in Legal and Policing Studies from Garda College. Ongoing education includes various training programs related to bereavement support, drug awareness, and family support.
