Athanasios Arapis

Athanasios Arapis is a Risk Model Development Senior Specialist in the Credit Risk Modelling Division at Alpha Bank, where they focus on data science, analytics, and strategy. They completed a summer internship at the University of Belgrade in 2011 and have held various roles in financial services risk management at EY in 2022. Previously, Athanasios served as a Military Meteorologist with the Hellenic Air Force in 2019 and worked as a Marketing & Sales Analyst at Medicon Hellas S.A. from 2013 to 2016. They are currently pursuing a Master's degree in Data Science and Machine Learning at Hellenic Open University, building on their prior academic achievements, including a Master's in Mathematical Models from the National Technical University of Athens and a Bachelor's in Mathematics from The University of Edinburgh.
