David Ranta

David Ranta is a seasoned compliance engineer with extensive experience in product testing and certification across multiple markets. Currently at Alpha Technologies Ltd. since February 2009, David Ranta is responsible for ensuring new products meet UL and CSA standards for North America as well as compliance in European and South American markets. Prior to this role, David Ranta worked at Philips Lighting from 2007 to January 2009, focusing on the safety evaluation and certification of LED lighting products. Previous positions include regulatory engineer at TIR Systems Ltd., electronics technologist at Intrinsyc Software, and electronics technologist at Scientific Atlanta. David Ranta holds a diploma in Electronics Engineering Technology from Okanagan College, earned between 1986 and 1991.
