Mat Parker

Mat Parker currently serves as the Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer at Alpha Generation since May 2025. Prior to this role, Mat held the position of Vice President of Commercial Analytics at Calpine, where responsibilities included portfolio valuation, structural analysis, and market analysis from July 2023 to May 2025. From April 2018 to March 2023, Mat was the Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer at Vistra Corp., overseeing risk management for a diverse energy portfolio. Mat's earlier roles included Chief Risk Officer positions at Dynegy, GenOn Energy, and Mirant, where Mat played key roles in risk management and M&A processes that significantly expanded company portfolios. Mat holds an MBA from Emory University's Goizueta Business School and a BS in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Dallas.
