Mark Challis is a seasoned professional in the mining and processing industry with extensive experience spanning from 1994 to the present. Currently serving as Production Team Leader at Alpha HPA since September 2022, Mark supports day-to-day operations, implements safety recognition programs, and guides team members in achieving training objectives. Previously, Mark held positions at Newcrest Mining as Moly Plant Leading Hand and Ore Processing Technician, where responsibilities included commissioning processes and optimizing production. Mark's career also includes significant roles at Rio Tinto as Team Leader, focusing on managing production schedules and mentoring staff, as well as at Mount Isa Mines, evolving from Central Control Room Officer to Training Coordinator. With a strong emphasis on safety, operational efficiency, and team development, Mark possesses a comprehensive skill set in plant management and emergency response.
