Robert Scheuermann is the current Director of Quality at Alpha Laboratories. Prior to this, they served as Chair/Past Chair of the Medical Laboratory Professionals' Association of Ontario from January 2016 to June 2020. Robert has also held the position of Laboratory Manager at Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance from January 2012 to May 2019, where they were responsible for the daily management of all resources in accordance with the Medical Program Director and Program Director of Diagnostic Services. In this role, they were also responsible for facilitating the care for patients by ensuring quality patient care and competent safe practice, coordinating staffing levels, and reviewing workload measurement trends and addressing workload concerns. Additionally, they assessed, evaluated and acted as a resource regarding staff development, identified educational needs and provided/arranged in-services, and managed employee relations through knowledge of collective agreements and corporate policies and procedures. Before their time at Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance, Robert Scheuermann was at The Michener Institute of Education at UHN.
Robert Scheuermann has a Certified Health Executive (CHE) from the Canadian College of Health Leaders, an MBA/HCM from the University of Phoenix, a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certificate from the Aveta Business Institute, a Health Administration Diploma from the Ontario Hospital Association, and a Bachelor's of Science in Biology/Biological Sciences from the University of Windsor. Robert also has a Medical Laboratory Technology Diploma from Lambton College and is certified by the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science as a Registered Technologist.
