Michael Piwowar

Mike Piwowar is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in both public service and academia. Currently serving as Executive Vice President at the Milken Institute and Distinguished Policy Fellow at Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business, Piwowar also holds board positions at Behavox and acts as a Senior Advisor for GTS. The founder of Piwowar Strategic Initiatives LLC, Piwowar’s prior roles include Commissioner and Acting Chairman at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Chief Economist for the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs, and Senior Economist at the White House Council of Economic Advisers. Piwowar holds a PhD in Finance from Penn State University, an MBA from Georgetown University, and a BA in Foreign Service and International Politics from Penn State University.
