Eric Nelson

Eric Nelson is the Head of Academics at Alpha School and has built a distinguished career in K12 education as a leader, coach, and implementation expert. They served as the Senior Director of School Quality at National Heritage Academies and held positions as Area Superintendent for Oakland Unified School District and Principal at multiple institutions, including Seattle Public Schools. Eric has worked with over 100 executive leaders across North America, enhancing student learning gains and maintaining high satisfaction rates. Growing up in rural Wisconsin, they carry forward the lessons learned from their dairy farmer grandfather, emphasizing the importance of listening and connection in education.
