Tamara Friend

Tamara Friend is an experienced educator and innovator currently serving as a Guide at Alpha School since October 2025, where a commitment to transformative education aligns with personal beliefs in student potential. As a co-founder of the Jog For Good Foundation since April 2020, Tamara emphasizes community engagement and support. Prior roles include Middle School Science Department Chair and Teacher at Cary Academy, and various engineering and sales positions at Kyma Technologies, Inc. and other companies, showcasing a diverse professional background spanning education, sales, and manufacturing. Tamara holds an MBA from North Carolina State University and a B.S. in Chemistry from Gardner-Webb University.
