James Hamilton

James Hamilton is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor with extensive experience in venture capital and startup development. Currently, James co-founds and partners at oakpool, which specializes in growth, data science, and design services for enterprise and private equity portfolio companies across the Americas and Europe. As an advisor for Alpha Studio, James focuses on transforming concepts into viable products. Additionally, James serves as a partner at within.vc, engaging in angel investments and early-stage advisory work, and was a principal at KHP Ventures, a firm dedicated to investing in healthcare startups. Previous roles include associate at Progress Ventures, consultant for the MIT Sloan School of Management's Sustainability Initiative, and co-founder of GuideHire, which was successfully acquired by Recur Outdoors. James holds an MBA from Imperial College London and a BSBA from the College of Charleston, along with other educational accomplishments.
