Joshua Spence

Joshua Spence serves as the Chief Information Officer at Alpha Technologies Inc., focusing on technology solutions, risk management, and innovation since August 2023. With a long-standing career in the United States Air Force, Joshua has held various roles including Cyber Operations Officer, Information Systems Security Manager, Knowledge Operations Manager, and Security Forces, progressing from the rank of Airman First Class to Captain. Prior to their current role, Joshua was appointed by Governor Jim Justice as the Chief Technology Officer for the State of West Virginia, serving from March 2015 to July 2023, and also held the position of Chief Information Security Officer, leading cybersecurity efforts for the Executive Branch. Joshua holds a Master of Science in Technology Management with an emphasis on Information Security, a BA in Political Science from Marshall University, and two Associate degrees from the Community College of the Air Force in Electronic Systems Technology and Criminal Justice.
