Mukul Pal, CAIA

Mukul Pal is the Founder & CEO of AlphaBlock since February 2018. Mukul also holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at Ait Inc. starting from January 2020. Mukul is currently an Alumni of 500 Global, starting from January 2023. Mukul has also been an Official Member of MaRS Discovery District since June 2022.

In the past, Mukul has worked as the Founder & CEO of Orpheus Capitals, a fintech company specializing in Quantitative and Artificial Intelligence solutions for the financial services and other sectors. Mukul held this position from September 2005 to February 2018. Mukul also served as the President, Central and Eastern Europe at Market Technicians Association, Inc. from January 2010 to December 2015. Prior to that, they held the role of Head Derivatives Research at HDFC Securities, Edelweiss Capital, and MF Global. Mukul has also worked as the Deputy Manager Derivatives Training at Bombay Stock Exchange Limited, where they published a book on derivatives.

Mukul Pal's education history includes several degrees and certifications. Mukul attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for a FinTech Class in 2016. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Econometrics and Applied Statistics at Universitatea "Babeș-Bolyai" din Cluj-Napoca from 2014 to 2016. In 1998, Mukul earned an MBA in Finance from IBS Hyderabad, where they studied from 1996 to 1998. Before pursuing their Master's degree, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Physical Sciences from Delhi University, where they studied between 1990 and 1993.

In addition to their formal education, Mukul Pal has also obtained several certifications to further enhance their skillset. Mukul completed the "Introduction to Programming Using Python" course at DataCamp in December 2021. In April 2017, they received certifications in "Creative Writing: The Craft of Character," "Introduction to Complex Analysis," "Creative Writing: The Craft of Setting and Description," and "Creative Writing: The Craft of Plot" from Wesleyan University. In May 2015, they completed the "R Programming" and "The Data Scientist's Toolbox" courses at The Johns Hopkins University. Furthermore, they hold a "Chartered Market Technician" certification from the Market Technicians Association, Inc., obtained in October 2009. Recently, in December 2021, Mukul became a "CAIA Charterholder" through the CAIA Association. Mukul is also enrolled in the "Certificate in ESG Investing" program at CFA UK, but the date of completion is not mentioned.
