Vice President - Data Engineering at AlphaGrep

Vaibhav Shetye has a strong background in data engineering and technology management. Vaibhav is currently working as a Vice President of Data Engineering at AlphaGrep Securities, where they have been since July 2021. Prior to this, they held the positions of AVP - Data Engineering and AVP - DevOps at the same company. Before joining AlphaGrep Securities, Vaibhav worked at Morgan Stanley as a Manager in Technology from October 2017 to September 2018. Vaibhav also gained experience at J.P. Morgan as an Associate Application Support Analyst from November 2015 to October 2017. Starting their career in 2011, Vaibhav worked as a Software Engineer in SME Trading Infrastructure at BNP PARIBAS INDIA SOLUTIONS PRIVATE LIMITED until October 2015.

Vaibhav Shetye started their education in 2000 at People's Education Society's English Medium High School, where they completed their General degree with a focus on English, Science, Maths, History, and Geography in 2005. From 2005 to 2007, they attended P.E.S. High School And Jr. College and completed their H.S.C (XII) degree in Computer Science. In 2007, they enrolled at the University of Mumbai and graduated in 2011 with a B.E. degree in Computer Engineering.

In addition to their formal education, Vaibhav has pursued various certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. In 2018, they obtained certifications in Agile Project Management Principles and Unit Testing and Test Driven Development in Python from Lynda.com. In 2017, they completed courses in Machine Learning from Coursera, Big Data 101 and Big Data Foundations - Level 1 from Big Data University, and Python 101 from IBM's Big Data University. Additionally, in 2019, they obtained the NISM-Series-XIII: Common Derivatives Certification Examination from the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM).
