Vanita Basra has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Vanita currently works as a Medical Information Specialist at Alphanumeric Systems, starting in 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Research Scholar in the Neuropharmacology Division at ISF College of Pharmacy from 2013 to 2021. Their research focused on examining the effects of chronic carotid artery ligation on the brain and target organ histopathology in Wistar rats, as well as investigating IL-1, IL-6, and TNF-Alpha expression changes in the rat brain during chronic carotid artery occlusion-induced oxidative stress and dementia.
Before their research role, Vanita worked as a Product Executive at Overseas Healthcare Pvt Ltd in 2016. Additionally, they served as a Quality Control Officer at Lovin Care Cosmetics Pvt Ltd from 2011 to 2013. In this role, their responsibilities included conducting IPQC checks for aerosols, tablets, capsules, and liquid sections, as well as routine analysis of various semi/finished tablets, capsules, syrup, solution, and suspension products using analytical measurement techniques.
Vanita Basra pursued their education in the field of pharmacy and pharmaceutical research. Vanita completed their M.Pharmacy in Neuropharmacology from Indo Soviet Friendship College of Pharmacy during the years 2013-2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from Global College of Pharmaceutical Research from 2007 to 2011. Before entering the field of pharmacy, Vanita Basra completed their education up to 12th standard in Chemistry, Physics, and Biology from Govt. Senior Secondary School in Una, Himachal Pradesh, between 1994 and 2007.
In addition to their formal education, Vanita Basra has also obtained certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. Vanita participated in a national level workshop on Advancement in Analytical Techniques offered by Waters India Pvt. Ltd in February 2015. Additionally, they attended a national level workshop on "Industry Orientation Workshop on Career Prospective in Pharmacovigilance and Clinical Research" at ISF College of Pharmacy, Moga in February 2014.
