Zachary Powers has worked as a Software Engineer at AlphaPoint since 2021. Prior to this, they worked at T-Mobile from 2015 to 2021, where they held the roles of Senior Software Engineer, Engineer, and Associate Engineer System Design and Strategy, Device Validation. Zachary'srole as Senior Software Engineer involved leading the Robotics Hardware Automation Team in maintaining, supporting, and extending automation testing platform for validating OEM handsets. Zachary also worked on process improvement, converting licensed proprietary software into a licenseless framework using C# and open source methods. This included software design, documentation, implementation, debugging, and mentoring junior software engineers. Prior to T-Mobile, Powers worked for the US Navy from 2006 to 2015, where they held the roles of Interior Communications Electrician and Assistant Broadcast Engineer.
Zachary Powers started their educational journey in 2006 when they attended Naval Training Command and earned an Interior Communications and Electronics Technician degree. Zachary then attended Central Texas College from 2008 to 2010 and obtained General Education Prerequisites. In 2008, they also attended Coastline College and earned an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Electronics. From 2011 to 2013, Powers attended Bellevue College and obtained a Science Transfer degree in Computer Engineering. Finally, from 2013 to 2019, Powers attended Seattle University and earned a Bachelor of Science - BS degree in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Computer Engineering with a minor in Computer Science, as well as a Master's Degree in Computer Science. In addition, Powers has obtained a Journeyman, Audio and Video Repair certification from the U.S. Department of Labor and a Security Clearance certification from the United States Department of Defense.
