Marek Kubis

Marek Kubis has extensive experience in the engineering field, particularly in gearbox and traction motor design. Currently serving as the Head of Gearbox & Traction Motor Design at Alstom since February 2021, Marek transitioned to this role following Alstom's acquisition of Bombardier. Prior to this, Marek held several key positions at Bombardier Transportation from October 2007 to February 2021, including Head of Gearbox & Traction Motor Design, Team Lead Design Gears & Mechanical Calculation, and Gearbox Design Engineer. Earlier experience includes a position as a Design Engineer at FACC AG and a part-time role as a Catia analyst at Volkswagen Slovakia during academic studies. Marek earned a Master's degree in Manufacturing Systems from Slovenská technická univerzita v Bratislave and completed secondary education at the Secondary School of Machine Engineering in Bratislava.
