Matthew Gilbert

Matthew Gilbert is an experienced engineer with a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Swinburne University of Technology, completed in 2012. Currently serving as Lead Materials Operations Engineer at Alstom since February 2021, Matthew oversees the Production Control function on various projects, including Melbourne E Class trams and Vlocity DMU programs. Previously, Matthew held the same title at BOMBARDIER from August 2014 to February 2021, where the role involved similar responsibilities, in addition to acting as a Material Operations Engineer on the Melbourne E Class LRV Project. Earlier experience includes a role as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Essom Co Ltd in 2013.
