Chris Hand is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the diagnostics and healthcare sectors. Currently serving as Chairman at Abingdon Health since 2008, Chris oversees the development and manufacturing of rapid tests and related technologies across various applications. As Chairman of Alta Bioscience Ltd since 2016, Chris focuses on peptide synthesis and protein analysis. Chris also led Hydrosense, a leader in rapid Legionella testing, from 2018 to 2022. Previous roles include Non-Executive Director positions at Advanced Computer Software Group Plc and Concateno PLC, as well as co-founding and serving as CEO of Cozart plc, which specialized in medical diagnostics. Chris holds a DPhil in Pharmacology from the University of Oxford and a BSc in Applied Biochemistry from Brunel University of London.
