Brian Rappach

Brian Rappach has a diverse work experience in various roles related to information security and technology. Brian currently holds the position of Director of Security Architecture and Solutions at altafiber since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Certified ISC2 Instructor at the International Information System Security Certification Consortium from 2015 to 2023. Brian also served as the Director of Information Security at Xavier University from 2017 to 2022. Before that, they held positions at TriHealth as an Information Systems Solutions Leader Security from 2014 to 2017, and as an Information Systems Lead Security Analyst from 2013 to 2014. Brian also has experience as the Chief Operating Officer at Party Podz, a mobile video game theater business, from 2010 to 2015. Brian previously worked as an Information Security Officer at the Department of Veterans Affairs from 2008 to 2013, and as a Desktop Support Engineer at Reed Elsevier from 2005 to 2008.

Brian Rappach holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in IT from the University of Cincinnati, which they completed from 2002 to 2008. Brian also earned an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Network and System Administration/Administrator from Fayetteville Technical Community College from 1999 to 2001. In addition, Brian obtained a Master's Degree in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix, completing it in 2015-2016. Brian has obtained certifications such as Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) from (ISC)² in 2019, Security + from Comp-TIA in December 2012, and holds other certifications including CAP, CISSP, HCISPP, and Network +.
