Giovan Hernandez

Giovan Hernandez currently serves as the Clinic Director at AltaMed Health Services since January 2021, following a role as Clinic Administrator, where leadership focused on enhancing medical care access and excellence across five key pillars. Prior experience includes overseeing county-wide HIV program budgets as Program Supervisor II for the County of Orange, and managing practice operations at AIDS Healthcare Foundation. Giovan also contributed as Project Coordinator for the County of San Diego, implementing HIV prevention programs, and worked as a Mental Health Case Manager at Community Research Foundation, supporting transitional age youth and families. Earlier career experience includes serving as Data Manager for the HIV Division at Family Health Centers of San Diego, leading data management efforts. Giovan holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Social Work from San Diego State University.
