The AltaRica Association is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that aims at the promotion and the development of the science and engineering of models, with a special focus on two main domains: systems engineering and reliability engineering.

The AltaRica Association works along several directions:
    - We design and make evolve the specification of the AltaRica 3.0 modeling language.
    - We develop and maintain several software tools, including the integrated modeling environment AltaRica Wizard and the calculation engine for fault trees and related models XFTA.
    - We organize and deliver seminars, tutorials, courses and trainings both in academic and industrial contexts. We elaborate also training and communication materials for a wide audience of students, engineers and researchers.
    Since 2020, we are also our own publisher for research and teaching books.

Members of the AltaRica Association gather regularly to work on topics of common interest. The general assembly of the association takes place once a year.

Individuals or institutions interested in joining the AltaRica Association must contribute actively to the activities of the association. A contribution is typically demonstrated by participation to the development of products of the association (documentation, software, trainings), and/or in the organization of events in relation with the goals of the association.
