Pascal Bertrand is a highly skilled engineer with extensive experience in the fields of hydromechanics and mechanical engineering. Currently serving as Chargé d'affaires MOE Hydromécanique for ALTEN at EDF CIH since April 2018, Pascal leads projects focused on the renovation, maintenance, and improvement of hydroelectric facilities to enhance hydraulic safety. Prior to this role, Pascal worked as a mechanical studies engineer at EDF DIPDE, addressing design and execution discrepancies in nuclear power plants and tackling technical mechanical challenges post-Fukushima. Pascal's earlier experience includes a role as R&D Engineer at ArcelorMittal, where responsibilities included expanding quality ranges for coiled tubing applications and developing mathematical models for steel characteristics. Pascal began a career in design as a CAD draftsman at COPETECH SM, specializing in the creation of equipment for ROV and offshore systems. Educational qualifications include an engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials, and Technological Innovations from the Université de Technologie de Compiègne and a DUT in Mechanical Engineering and Production from IUT d'Aix Marseille.
