Alok Nikam

Alok Nikam is a seasoned FPGA Firmware Engineer currently employed at both Altera since January 2025 and Intel Corporation since June 2022, specializing in FPGA configuration firmware. Prior to this, Alok served as a Staff Engineer at Knowles Intelligent Audio, where contributions were made to expand the audience acquired by Knowles Corporation. From July 2014 to July 2021, Alok worked as an Advanced Embedded Engineer at Honeywell, focusing on the design of industrial safety products compliant with ATEX and SIL2 standards, alongside firmware development under the software development life cycle V model. Earlier experience includes a role as a Firmware Engineer at Trigent Software Inc., involving firmware development for industrial fixed controller panels. Alok holds a Master of Technology in Embedded Systems from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and is currently pursuing a Post Graduate Program in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at The University of Texas at Austin.
