Daniel Liu

Daniel Liu is an AI Software Engineer at Altera, working on the Altera FPGA AI Suite to accelerate inference on FPGAs. Previously, Daniel held multiple internships at Intel Corporation, including roles as a Software Engineer Intern focusing on site operations and automation, a Deep Learning Accelerator Intern contributing to the AI workflow using Intel’s OpenVINO Toolkit, and a Software Engineer Intern on the Open FPGA Stack Project. In addition, Daniel gained experience as a Machine Learning Researcher at the University of Toronto Engineering, applying deep reinforcement learning algorithms and co-authoring a research paper, and served as a Teaching Assistant for an introductory programming course in C. Furthermore, Daniel contributed as a Frontend Engineer at UofTHacks, maintaining and developing the hackathon website.
