Ian Wang

Ian Wang is an experienced engineering professional specializing in design verification and management within the semiconductor industry. Currently serving as the SoC Design Verification Manager at Altera since January 2025, Ian previously held the role of Design Verification Engineering Manager at Intel Corporation from June 2022 to December 2024. With a background that includes positions such as Director of Engineering at Smartgiant Technology and Engineering Manager in Design Verification at Intel Corporation, Ian has extensive expertise in FPGA design verification, IP verification platforms, and automated testing solutions. Ian's career began as a Verification Engineer at Nokia, where foundational skills in telecom chip/system verification were developed, and includes early experience as a Hardware Engineer at MOSAID Technologies focusing on memory design. Ian holds advanced degrees in Electronics and is a Ph.D. candidate in Condensed Matter Physics, with prior graduate study in Semiconductor Physics.
