MLOPs engineer at Altered State Machine

Maisa Daoud started their work experience in 2007 as a .NET developer at the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, where they worked on project management web applications and provided application support and training. Maisa worked there until March 2012.

In 2014, Maisa worked as a web developer freelancer for a year.

Starting in February 2016, they worked as a PhD student at The University of Waikato, specializing in researching neural network-based cancer prediction models. Their responsibilities included implementing data download and preprocessing scripts, as well as developing and training deep and machine learning models. Maisa also worked as a Doctoral Assistant, where they implemented real-time object detection systems and served as a practical data mining lecturer. Their work at the university concluded in October 2020.

From November 2020 to September 2022, Maisa worked at Servian as a Machine Learning Operations (MLOPs) specialist. Maisa was involved in building and deploying trusted ML models at scale using cloud computing services.

Currently, since September 2022, Maisa is working as an MLOPs engineer at Altered State Machine.

Maisa Daoud obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of Jordan, which they attended from 2002 to 2006. Maisa also earned a Master's degree in Computer Information Systems from the same university, although the specific start and end years are not provided. Additionally, they obtained certifications as a Dataiku Core Designer from Dataiku in June 2021.
