Independent record label owned by Jello Biafra. Based in Emeryville, CA, Alternative Tentacles is one of the oldest extant punk rock record labels in the United States, established in 1979 to release the single "California Uber Alles" by Dead Kennedys. 
In addition to manufacturing and publicizing music for the past three decades, AT has released spoken word CDs by the likes of Noam Chomsky, Howard Zinn, and Arundhati Roy. In 2010 we expanded to releasing theatrical DVDs (in addition to live performance and documentary DVDs).
