Angela Nelson

Angela Nelson is an experienced professional in trauma-informed care and advocacy, currently serving as the Trauma-Informed Capacity Building Coordinator at Alternatives since July 2022. Angela's background includes significant roles at organizations such as the Sexual Assault Counseling and Information Service (SACIS) and Anew: Building Beyond Violence and Abuse, where expertise in sexual assault and domestic violence support was honed. Angela has also held positions in administrative support and non-profit outreach, including a role as a Non-Profit Representative at Ruffalo Noel Levitz. Angela holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Eastern Illinois University, where experiences in front desk administration and peer support were gained.
