Janet Gilbert

Janet Gilbert has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Janet is currently working as a Project Assistant & Advisor at Motthida Chin | Consultant, Coach & Educator since April 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Assistant at SupplyESChange starting from March 2022. In February 2022, Janet served as a Principal Tailor & Sustainability Strategist at alternew. Janet also gained experience as a Project Lead/Collaborator/Researcher at Hecho Por Nosotros from June 2021 onwards. Before that, they worked in Business Strategy at Swanson's Fabrics from August 2020. Janet was also a Founding Member at the co-lab from May 2020, where they collaborated with professionals and organized events on sustainability and marketing. Janet'searliest job experience was as an Alterations Specialist at Nordstrom from August 2015 to September 2020.

Janet Gilbert completed their education with a Master of Science degree in Sustainable Management from DePaul University in the years 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago from 2013 to 2016, where they pursued studies in Fashion/Apparel Design. In 2008 and 2009, Janet earned a Certificate in Comprehensive Audio and Music Program from Omega Studios' School of Applied Recording Arts & Sciences. Janet completed their undergraduate studies at the College of Charleston from 2002 to 2006 and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Classics and Gender Studies. Furthermore, Janet has obtained several additional certifications related to social accountability, fighting modern slavery and human trafficking, and sustainable leadership in 2021.
