Mike Vail

Mike Vail has an extensive work experience in the scrap metal industry. Mike started their career in the US Army as a Retired Field Artillery Officer from 1985 to 1994. After that, they worked as a Plant Manager at General Metals / Schnitzer Steel Tacoma from 1994 to 1996. From 1996 to 1997, they served as a General Manager at Louisville Scrap. Then, they moved on to Metro Metals NW, where they held the position of General Manager from 1998 to 2010. Currently, they are serving as the Vice President of Operations at Alter Trading, a position they have held since December 2010.

Mike Vail attended Washington State University from 1980 to 1984, where they pursued a degree in Criminal Justice / pre law. Subsequently, from 1994 to 1997, they attended Saint Martins in Olympia, WA, where they studied for an MBA.
