Denys Kondratenko

Denys Kondratenko has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Denys is currently working as an Engineering Manager at Altinity, Inc. since July 2023. Before that, they worked as the Director of Software Engineering at Percona from February 2021 to June 2023. In this role, they were responsible for various aspects such as processes, hiring and teams building, and development.

Prior to Percona, Denys served as an Engineering Manager at SUSE for five years, from April 2016 to February 2021, where they focused on SUSE Enterprise Storage. Denys also held the position of Lustre Sustaining Manager at Seagate Technology from February 2014 to November 2015 and served as a Software Sustaining Lead Engineer at Xyratex from November 2011 to March 2014.

Denys gained valuable experience as an Engineer at Massive Solutions Limited from November 2010 to November 2011, where they were involved in designing and developing high-performance applications. Before that, they worked as an Engineering Group Leader at Mindspeed Technologies from November 2006 to November 2010, leading a telecommunication SoC embedded project.

In 2005, Denys worked as a Senior MTS Engineer at Infopulse, where they contributed to the development and bug fixing of a telecommunication SoC embedded project. Denys also worked as an Embedded Software Engineer at PicPro from November 2004 to November 2005 and as an Engineer at PolyPack from May 2000 to November 2004.

Throughout their career, Denys has demonstrated expertise in software engineering, team management, project planning, release management, and open-source development. Denys has also gained experience in various technologies and domains, including Kubernetes, monitoring, storage, and telecommunication.

Denys Kondratenko completed their Bachelor's degree in Programming of Computer Systems and the Automated Systems from the Lugansk Industrially-Economic College of East-Ukraine National University from 1996 to 2000. Denys then pursued an advanced degree in the field of the Flexible Computerized Systems and Robotics at the East Ukraine Volodymyr Dahl National University, completing it from 2000 to 2004.
