Mike Olson

Mike Olson is a serial entrepreneur in the database industry. He was an early contributor to the Postgres and Berkeley DB open source database projects. His career includes both technical and executive roles at Britton Lee, Illustra, Informix, Sleepycat, and Oracle. He was founding CEO at big data company Cloudera in 2008 and remained with the business until his retirement in 2019. He holds Bachelor’s and Master's degrees in computer science from the University of California at Berkeley.
