Michael McClay is the current Chief Technical Officer at Alto. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Engineering at Uber from October 2013 to July 2019. There, they worked on marketplace dynamics and pricing, incentive optimization, and real-time data processing. Michael also oversaw the development of Uber's bespoke ticket processing platform and was responsible for improving trust with users through safety and telematics initiatives. Prior to Uber, McClay spent nine years at Expedia, Inc., where they rose to the position of Senior Manager of Engineering.
Michael McClay received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley. Michael then went on to complete a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of California, Berkeley.
