John Chen

John Chen currently serves as Scientist II at Altos Labs, where responsibilities include leading the development and optimization of high-throughput cell-based screening platforms for ASO and gene therapy initiatives. Prior experience includes a role as Biomarker Scientist - Lysosomal Pathways at Denali Therapeutics, focusing on the development of exploratory biomarkers supporting preclinical and clinical studies. John Chen also worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at UCSF, where research centered on identifying and elucidating cellular factors that control Tau aggregation and spread through CRISPR-based functional genomic screens. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Biochemistry from Scripps Research and a B.S. in Biochemistry from UC San Diego.
