Pascal Egea

Pascal Egea is a Principal Scientist at Altos Labs since August 2023, following a tenure at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA from October 2009 to July 2023, where roles included Project Scientist, Associate Project Scientist, and Assistant Professor in a tenure-track faculty position. Prior to this, Pascal Egea worked as a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the University of California, San Francisco, from June 2001 to September 2009, focusing on molecular mechanisms of membrane protein biogenesis and the structural basis of the Unfolded Protein Response. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Structural Biology and Molecular Biophysics from Universite Louis Pasteur, Strasbourg, obtained from 1991 to 1999, and an Agregation et DEA in Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Biological Crystallography from École normale supérieure de Lyon, where studies spanned from 1991 to 1994.
