Colin King

Colin King has over 20 years of work experience in engineering and research roles. Colin is currently working as a Senior Lead Engineer at ALTRATECH LIMITED since April 2021. Prior to this, Colin worked at BD as a Senior Systems Engineer from March 2018 to March 2021. Colin also worked at BD-GenCell Biosystems as a Senior R&D Engineer from February 2013 to March 2018.

Before joining BD-GenCell Biosystems, Colin worked as a Research Fellow at Stokes Institute for a short period of time in 2012. Colin also gained experience as an Engineer III, Systems at Life Technologies from July 2011 to December 2011. Prior to that, Colin worked as a Research Engineer / Engineer II, Systems at Stokes Bio Ltd from January 2010 to June 2011.

Colin began their career as a Postgraduate Researcher at the University of Limerick in 2003, where they conducted research on fluid mechanics and biological compatibility of two-phase liquid-liquid microfluidics. Colin also served as a Contract Lecturer & Teaching Assistant at the university from October 2003 to May 2007.

In 2001, Colin had an internship at Airbus, gaining early industry experience.

Colin King attended the University of Limerick from 1999 to 2003, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Aeronautical Engineering.
