Deirdre Looney

Deirdre Looney is a Fellow Chartered Accountant with over 15 years of experience in governance, compliance, and financial management. They provide executive-level business support in their current consulting role, focusing on governance advice, risk assessment, and strategic planning. Prior to this, Deirdre held various significant positions at UNSW, including Deputy General Manager for UNSW Medicine and Finance Business Partner, where they managed strategic projects and delivered budget forecasts. They also served as Acting Chief Executive Officer for Australian Marist Solidarity, where they oversaw governance and financial operations, and began their career at PricewaterhouseCoopers as an Audit Senior. Deirdre holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Master's Degree in Management Accounting from University College Cork.
