David Sutton

David Sutton has extensive experience in communication and media relations, currently serving as the Director of Corporate Communications & Media Relations at Altria since June 2006. Prior to this role, David worked as the Assistant Director of Intelligent Transportation Systems at the Virginia Department of Transportation from August 2003 to June 2006, and served as Press Secretary & Communications Director for the State of Georgia Office of the Lt Governor from July 2000 to August 2003. David's international experience includes a position as Vice Consul for Political, Press & Public Affairs with the British Diplomatic Service from September 1996 to June 2000. Earlier in David's career, responsibilities included serving as Editor of Surveys at Euromoney from December 1991 to May 1996 and an internship in News Production at BBC News in 1990. David holds a Master of Public Administration in Public Policy from The University of Georgia (1999-2001) and a Bachelor of Arts in Media Management from The University of West London (1988-1991).
